Rob started performing poetry while training to be a psychiatric nurse. Infusing thought provoking material with entertaining delivery, he uses a heady combination of comedy, theatre and live literature to tap into the world of chaos and adventure that lurks behind the veneer of everyday life. He's performed over
two thousand shows, regularly appears on BBC radio and has won numerous poetry slams, including The Arts Council's Lit Up Slam and BBC2's Why Poetry Matters Slam. Appearances at festivals include The Glastonbury Festival, The Sydney International Poetry Festival, The Canadian Festival of Spoken Word and The Austin International Poetry Festival. He performed the Edinburgh Fringe for seven consecutive years.
Rob has shared stages with numerous personalities, including Harold Pinter, Jo Brand, Jimmy Carr, Omid Djalili, Jean 'Binta' Breeze, Scroobious Pip, Kate Tempest, Frankie Boyle, Russell Howard, Sarah Millican, John Otway, Lindon Kwesi Johnson and
John Cooper Clarke.
Rob's lastest show, premièred at the Winnipeg Fringe,
where it received unanimous five star reviews, won Best of Fest and sold out all nine shows. It then went on to sell out
shows in Orlando, Edmonton and Victoria,
won Best International Show at the Orlando Fringe and Pick of the Fringe at the Victoria Fringe.
, Rob's show about an acute psychiatric ward has sold out shows in Florida, Toronto, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Victoria and the UK. It was awarded Best of Fest at the Winnipeg and Ottawa Fringes, Critic's Pick at the Toronto Fringe, Outstanding Spoken Word at the Minnesota Fringe and the Sold Out Award at the Orlando Fringe.
