Rob delivers bespoke workshops in comedy, creative writing, improvisation and poetry in both inpatient and community mental health settings. Inpatient areas include adult mental health units, children and adolecsent mental health services (CAMHS), psychiatric intensive care (PICU), rehabilitation and ongoing care, forensic services, eating disorder services and services for older people.
Rob is lead artist for the Comedy Asylum: comedy shows created and performed by people receiving long term mental health treatment. For thirteen years these shows have culminated in the annual comedy extravaganza as part of Leicester Comedy Festival. Now, having secured funding from the National Lottery's Big Lottery Fund, we regularly lead workshops all year round in community settings, as well as via video conference.
Rob regularly delivers a six week course, The Value of Comedy in Recovery from Mental Distress in mental health recovery colleges across the East Midlands.
